Well, I think the alliance between south Korea and the U.S. still forms the backbone of our security. 

Exporting companies are backbone our economy. 중추, 핵심, 근간

 

I think the United States simply wants to shift the balance of power in the East Asian region to its favor.

미국은 동아시아에서 힘의 균형을 자신에게 유리하게 변화시키고자 하는 것 같아.

I hate to say it this way, but the pademic has played more to our favor. 이익이 되거나 득이 되다.

 

Our next peresident should conduct the difficult task of balancing on the tightrope between the U.S. and China.

Leaders should know how to walk a tightrope between stability and change. 균형을 잡는 힘든 일 

 

There is no eternal friend of foe in the world of diplomacy. We act in the best interest of our own nations.

I'm not sure if the new person is a friend of foe. 우군과 적군

 

We are in an inextricable relationship with China on many levels. Whether you like the country or not,

we have to seek way for a mutual partnership.

Japan continues to claim sovereignty over Dokdo. *supreme와 어원이 같음

일본이 계속해서 독도에 대한 영유권을 주장하고 있어 

The diplomatic decision was a treat to sivereignty. 주권, 자주권

sovereign 국가와 관련 -ty -주권, 자주권, 영유권

우파 정부가 들어선 이래로 일본은 전쟁 당시의 만행을 왜곡하는 데 넘어서는 안 될 선을 넘었어.

Don't you think that Korea and Japan shoul not dwell on the past but establish a more future-oriented relationship?

Japan apparently wants to start a border dispute over Dokdo.

일본은 독도를 두고 국경 분쟁을 벌이려고 하는 것 같아.

No matter which euphemism they use, we cannot ignore the fact that there was sexual slavery.
